Philip Reichmann

Philip Reichmann is a co-Founding Partner of ReichmannHauer Capital Partners. Philip began his formal career as a commercial leasing representative at Olympia & York Developments Limited, in 1978. In subsequent years, he was also involved in the development of World Financial Center in New York, and Canary Wharf in London, England.

In 1993, together with his partner, Frank Hauer, Philip formed O&Y Properties Inc. to manage and lease a portfolio of ten office properties consisting of nine million square feet.

In 1997, following the acquisition of a controlling interest in Camdev Corporation, O&Y Properties Inc. and Camdev Properties Inc. were amalgamated to form O&Y Properties Corporation (listed on the TSE under the symbol "OYP"), a national property ownership and management company with approximately 25 million square feet under management and an owned property portfolio of 2.5 million square feet. Subsequent property acquisitions in Toronto, Calgary, Winnipeg and Halifax increased the portfolio to 5.6 million square feet. In May of 1998, O&Y Properties purchased Enterprise Property Group, a privately owned manager of third party commercial properties. In September of 1999, O&Y Properties acquired a 100% interest in First Canadian Place, a 2.4 million square foot AAA class office and retail complex in downtown Toronto. O&Y Properties owned 50.05% of O&Y REIT, a real estate investment trust (listed on the TSE under the symbol "OYR") established in June of 2001 to focus on the ownership of commercial office buildings across Canada. O&Y REIT's portfolio of owned properties consisted of interests in nearly 8 million square feet of commercial office space.

When O&Y Properties and O&Y REIT was sold to Brookfield and its institutional partners for $2.1 billion in October 2005, the company owned 25 office buildings (10 million square feet) - including Toronto's First Canadian Place.

Philip was born on November 11, 1957 in Tangiers, Morocco. In 1959, together with his parents, Albert and Egosah, he moved to Toronto, where he now lives with his wife, Hannah, and their five children. Philip is involved with several charitable causes, particularly hospital foundations and Jewish education.
